Differences between first edition Kit doll and current?

Anyone know of any differences between the first batch of Kit dolls released to the current ones? I know Kit is not PM, but are there any obvious differences in face molds, hair color, etc?
What about Kaya? Are the earlier dolls any different?

The first run Kaya's DO look different. I can't put my finger on it though....

We have the first run Kit, Kaya, and Marisol, it seems all of them look a little different than the newer ones we see. With our Kit, I think her freckles are very realistic compared to some of the more recent ones I have seen. I know that doesn't really make sense because they should be very good at freckles now! Kit was the first doll to have them though!

I think the vinyl is different. My Kit has a softer vinyl and a different skin tone also.

First run Kits have fainter freckles, or at least mine does.

my kit has realistic freckles and nice vinyl like the PM dolls. Her hair isn't as shiny as my Marisol's and her limbs are fatter. She has a gorgeous skin tone and paler lips. The Nellie I briefly had in my possesion had horrendously fake freckles, so I sent her back. I fear that the newer Kit dolls may also have the bad freckles. I wish I had a bunch of the old Kit dolls to give to my siblings- mine is beautiful, and if I bought one and rewigged her she would be the closest to a custom doll like me that I could get.
